Xia Zhou Bi Feng has been around since 1979, yet still considered relatively young in the world of Chinese teas. "Xia Zhou" was the name of the area around Tai Ping Xi mountains in Yi Chang of Hubei province. This area was famous for producing tea leaves of exceptional quality during the Tang Dynasty, and was even recorded in Lu Yu's Classic of Tea as the perfect mountainous area to grow tea plants. Among other awards, it has already won the China's Exceptional Quality Product Awards (1985 & 1988) and the 2nd China Agriculture Exhibition Gold Award (1988). Other names: Gorges Jade Peak Taste: The strong sweet fruity fragrance is evident even from the dry tea leaves. The taste is refreshing, with a pleasant hint of nut. Sweet and lasting aftertaste.
